HOTEL-MOTEL TAX

Commonwealth law permits county(s) to collect a 2% tax on all room rentals. No exception to the responsibility for making collections is authorized in the county Ordinance, No.91-2, including cases where room rentals are made to government employees and tax exempt organizations.
The tax and the basis for calculation are due at the Office of the Treasurer by the 15th day following the month after they where collected.
