Gun Permits / Concealed Weapons Applications
Complete background investigations are conducted for all gun permit applications. These investigations are done by the Pa. State Police using the National Criminal Investigation Center. At the completion of the investigation the applicant will be notified by the Sheriff’s Office as to the outcome of their application. Temporary change in gun permit hours:
The Delaware County Gun Permit Desk will offer extended hours, until 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.
The change in hours is to accommodate a temporary shutdown of the Pennsylvania Gun Permit online system that took place Monday, Feb. 11. For more information call the Gun Permit Desk at 610-891-4297.
