2013 Regional Southeastern Pennsylvania Regional
Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection Program

Delaware County has expanded what can be accepted at three of our four Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events to include most small E-Waste.  Simply stated, if it has a cord, does not contain Freon (air conditioners, dehumidifiers, small refrigerators), and is not considered a large appliance, we will accept it. 

Dates include: 
Saturday, April 6, 2013              Emergency Services Training Center

All events are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As we will be accepting Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) at these events, you can click on our HHW website www.co.delaware.pa.us/recycle/hhw.html to obtain information on what hazardous items will be accepted.  Also by clicking on the underlined event, you will obtain an area map and by clicking further, you can input your home address and obtain door-to-door directions. 

Examples of e-waste items accepted include:

Lamps
Radios
TVs
Computers
CD & DVD Players
Vacuums
Mixers
Blenders
Can Openers
Coffeemakers
Power Tools
Hair Dryers
Curling Irons
Irons
Gaming Consoles, etc.


Items containing Freon or any Large Appliance
will NOT be accepted.

If you can’t wait for one of our events, Best Buy, Staples or Goodwill Industries will accept your outdated computer-related equipment. 

Additionally, Best Buy will accept your old TVs. (Maximum of 3 units per day.)   Please call your local store for additional information.
