SEWAGE FACILITIES PLANNING
Regional Sewage Facilities Plans
Delaware County recently completed two Act 537 sewage facilities plans, one for the eastern municipalities and another for the western municipalities. The Delaware County Act 537 Sewage Facilities Plan Update Eastern Plan of Study was completed in 2002, and the Delaware County Act 537 Sewage Facilities Plan Revision Western Plan of Study was completed in 2004. The two plans are available at the Planning Department.
Act 537 Sewage Facilities Planning Reviews
DCPD is the County agency that conducts Component 4, County Planning Agency Reviews for Act 537 Sewage Facility Planning Modules, as required by the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The Planning Department is only required to complete reviews for projects that the DEP Southeast Regional Office deems as a subdivision or land development that requires a revision to a municipal Act 537 Plan. See DEP’s Act 537 review process and electronic forms. Developers and applicants submitting planning modules to DCPD should be familiar with the following documents to ensure a timely review.
