Community Assistance staff are also active in the redevelopment of areas within Delaware County. The passage of Act 35 of the Pennsylvania General Assembly (2006) updated regulations for the utilization of eminent domain and criteria to be met for the declaration of blighted areas. DCPD has experience in completing blight certification reports, as well as the ensuing redevelopment plans. Municipalities with areas to be designated for redevelopment and that are interested in having a blight certification and/or redevelopment plan prepared should contact Community Assistance.
