Delco Tribute Board

Families of active duty servicemen and women

invited to submit photo for

Delaware County Tribute Board

Delaware County Council makes it a priority to remember our troops who are fighting to preserve the freedoms we enjoy. One way County Council honors the brave men and women of the armed forces is with a Pictorial Tribute Board on display in the Government Center lobby.

Friends and family members of Delaware County residents who are actively serving in the military are invited to submit photographs for inclusion in the tribute.

The patriotic Tribute Board features photos of Delaware County men and women on active duty in all branches of the Armed Services. Some are serving overseas, in Europe, Africa, and Afghanistan or on other bases, and some are serving here in the U.S.

A soldier, sailor, marine, airman or guardsman does not have to be on the front lines to be contributing to the U.S. military effort and our national safety. The Pictorial Tribute is open to any member from Delaware County who is actively serving.

The Pictorial Tribute is arranged through the county Public Relations Department. Delaware County residents who have family members actively serving in the military are invited to submit a 4 x 6 color photograph of the individual, along with the soldier’s name, town of residency and their official military address to Public Relations, Room 226A, Delaware County Government Center, 201 W. Front St., Media, PA 19063. Photos and information can be sent via e-mail to Public Relations Assistant Katherine Morrone (

Council regularly holds a ceremony at the Tribute Board when a new individual’s photo is posted. Family and friends are invited to participate. Council also sends a congratulatory letter and photo to the Armed Services member.
Individuals submitting an armed service member should include a return address and daytime phone number so information can be confirmed and photographs can be returned once they are copied. The Public Relations staff requests to be informed when a military member’s service is complete.

As part of the Armed Services Tribute initiative, people are invited to support those serving through letters, gift cards, care packages and e-mails. Residents wishing to write to one of the military members honored in the Pictorial Tribute can get their military address from the Public Relations Department.

For information on the Pictorial Tribute or to make a submission, contact Katherine Morrone in the Public Relations Department at (610)-891-4931.
