H1N1 (Swine) Flu InformationFree H1N1 ClinicsThe Pennsylvania Department of Health Delaware County State Health Center will be offering FREE WALK-IN H1N1 flu shot clinics Saturdays, January 16 through February 6, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The clinics are open to the general public and no appointments are necessary. The Delaware County State Health Center is located at 151 W. 5th Street in Chester. More information can be obtained by calling the Pennsylvania Department of Health at 1.877.724.3258 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. weekdays or 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays or by visiting www.H1N1inPA.com. Families are reminded that children under 10 years of age require two doses of the H1N1 vaccine, 28 days apart, for full immunization. Information on H1N1Delaware County Council and the Department of Intercommunity Health Coordination would like to keep residents informed about the H1N1 (swine flu) virus. Human infections with the new H1N1 virus are ongoing in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) routinely works with states to collect, compile and analyze information about influenza, and has done the same for the new H1N1 virus since the beginning of the outbreak.
