New Lead Hazard Control Program available for

homeowners and landlords in the City of Chester


The US Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes and the Pennsylvania Department of Health are providing funds to homeowners and landlords of properties in the City of Chester to reduce or eliminate lead-based paint hazards in their homes.

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Own a property within the city limits of Chester and built before 1987
  • Meet income requirements
  • Have a child that spends at least six hours per week at the residence, or a pregnant occupant.
