Delaware County Council has initiated planning for the FY 2008 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The County anticipates receiving approximately $3.9 million in the upcoming program year, which is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2008. Those interested in applying for funding should forward an application package to the Delaware County Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD). All applications must be received no later than 4:30 p.m., January 14, 2008. Please review application package thoroughly, as incomplete submissions will not be considered for funding.

OHCD staff is available to address concerns related to proposal preparation and visit potential project sites; do not hesitate to use the planning period to ask for assistance and communicate any issues or concerns. Soliciting public input is the first step in preparing the County's Housing and Community Development (HCD) Plan for FY 2008. OHCD has scheduled a public hearing to assess the County's housing and community development needs on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in the County Council Meeting Room of the Delaware County Government Center, Media. Anyone wishing to comment on housing and community development needs, request information on proposed programs, or review program performance is encouraged to attend this hearing. OHCD staff will be present to discuss issues related to the development of the HCD Plan and address any questions.
