Veterans Affairs
The Department of Veterans Affairs, under the direction of William A. Lovejoy, handles all matters relating to Veterans and the families of Veterans of all Wars through personal interviews or phone contacts. This office handles matters pertaining to the G.I. Bill of Rights such as; pensions for veterans and widows of veterans and helping veterans gain admission to VA Hospitals for physical, alcohol and drug related problems. Our department keeps records of grave registrations for all Delaware County war-time veterans and provide them with government markers and process all burial and headstone applications for reimbursement. In addition to assisting all Veterans' Service Organizations in Delaware County by providing them with Memorial Day expenses, flags and markers, we also have direct communication with the Adjutant General's Office, the Pennsylvania Department of Military Affairs and the Veterans Administration Center in Philadelphia and Washington. The Veterans Affairs Department is located on the ground floor of the Government Center Building and may be reached at (610) 891-4646 Related sites: |
