All press releases, public announcements, brochures and general publications of the County government are prepared and released by the Public Relations Department.

The Department under the direction of William A. Lovejoy, responds to queries about County government and requests for general information about Delaware County.

Commendatory resolutions, citations for public service and other ceremonial presentations of County Council are prepared and coordinated by the Public Relations Department. A file of newsworthy county events and government activities is maintained.

The Department is involved intricately in activities such as tourism, economic development and the promotion of cultural and developmental activities such as Hazardous Materials Advisory Council.

Special assistance and research is provided to members of County Council and to all departments of County government. The department responds to inquiries on County affairs by the press.
