Department of Intergovernmental Affairs
The role and function of the Department of Intergovernmental Affairs is to serve as point of contact and coordinator for county projects as requested by the Executive Director and members of County Council, or as sometimes initiated by the Director. Projects typically include the coordination of county government activities related to specific grant and subsidy prorgams from the state and federal government. The Director supervises the planning, development, design, reporting and content management of the official county website. The Director attends regular meetings of the municipal councils of government, the DVRPC Webmaster sub group, the local chapter of the National Association of Government Webmasters and the Government Affairs Council of the Delco Chamber of Commerce. Mission Statement: to efficiently supervise and assist in the day to day management of certain grant funded programs, employees, and activities, and to conduct other duties as requested by the Executive Director and County Council.
