While acting as the central source for Receiving, Mail Delivery Services, and Copy Center, the department has expanded and grown through the past eight years. Most of the lease agreement for the county and courts are administered, serviced and negotiated by Administrative Services.
Our most recent endeavor has been undertaking the reorganizing and preparing for the total rehabilitation of the County Records Storage Facility. County Council has made a commitment to upgrade the Record Storage Complex into a first class Archives and Record Center.
Once completed, the Archives and Record Center will offer the public access to vital information and statistics relevant ot their properties and families through documents such as deeds and wills. It will avail researchers convenient access information for historical studies which contain a rich deposit of our heritage and growth as the first County where Pennsylvania truly began.
