The County maintains preparedness plans that address emergencies ranging from natural disasters to industrial accidents to a terrorist attack. Delaware County has a Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Plan, a Pandemic Plan and a County Emergency Management Plan in addition to plans that address traffic evacuation, hazardous mitigation, Safe Schools, and other types of emergencies. Council also encourages individuals and families to have a personal plan to address an emergency.
