
Senior Judge George Koudelis was elected to his second ten-year term by retention vote in 1999. Judge Koudelis received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Rutgers University, his Juris Doctor Degree from Temple University School of Law and his Master of Laws Degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He is also a graduate of the National Judicial College. Prior to his election to the Bench, Judge Koudelis maintained an active practice as a general practitioner for 25 years. While in private practice, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Delaware County Bar Association and as Chairman of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. He also served as Councilman at Large for Upper Darby Township, Solicitor to the Borough of Millbourne and as Assistant County Solicitor. Extremely active in his Church community, Judge Koudelis was commended in 1982 by his All Holiness, Demetrios I, Patriarch of Constantinople, as a defender of the faith and appointed to the Order of the Knights of St. Andrew.
Judge Koudelis was the Chairman of the Delaware County Criminal Justice Advisory Committee from 1999 to 2005. Judge Koudelis assumed Senior Judge status on January 1, 2006.
