COURT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Court's Executive Director, Philip W. Damiani, Jr., was presented the 2007 Themis Award by the Delaware County Bar Association at the Law Day Ceremonies on May 4, 2007. Here he shows the award to Judge Joseph P. Cronin, Jr. The Themis Award is given annually to a non-attorney for outstanding contribution to the American system of freedom under the law. Phil has worked for the Court for more than 30 years as a Probation Officer; Director of Juvenile Court, the Juvenile Detention Center and Adult Probation and Parole, all three posts at the same time; and as Executive Director of the Delaware County Court, the position he now holds.
Philip W. Damiani, Jr. is Executive Director for the Delaware County Court System and is responsible for the Administration and Management of nine Court departments and provides assistance and support as requested by the Court Administrator for the 32nd Judicial District and the Magisterial District Judge Administrator. The Court Executive Director manages departments including Bail/Pre-Trial; Court Services, made up of Adult Probation and Parole and Court Financial Services; Diagnostic Services; Domestic Relations; Electronic Recording; Internal Management; Legal Audio Visual and Videoconferencing; Juvenile Court and the Juvenile Detention Center. The Court Executive Director is responsible for the preparation and submission to the President Judge and Courts' Budget Committee the annual expenditures and revenues for Court Departments. In addition, the Court Executive Director serves as a liaison between Court Departments and County Government. The Court Executive Director is the facilitator for the Delaware County Criminal Justice Advisory Committee and is the point of contact for the Pennsylvania Justice Network and the Intermediate Punishment Plan.
