Welcome to the Consumer Affairs Division of the Delaware County Office of Consumer Affairs and Weights & Measures. The Department of Consumer Affairs under the direction of Evelyn Yancoskie, provides mediation on consumer problems encountered in the marketplace. Its paralegal staff investigates complaints in the areas of automotive, home repair and remodeling, tenant/landlord, credit, mail order, real estate, appliance sales/service and other consumer transactions. Suspected criminal and fraudulent violations are referred to the District Attorney or the Attorney General for investigation and, if necessary, prosecution.
The office continues its commitment to consumer education through participation in television shows, radio shows, and speeches to the area civic, church, school and community groups. Informative brochures covering a wide variety of topics including automotive, credit, tenant/landlord, and home repair/remodeling are available upon request.
