Note: Due to recent corrections in Census 2000 data, the population of Delaware County is now 551,974. The population increase is a result of Haverford Township gaining population that had been counted in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County. Due to a misallocation of prison population, Concord Township gained population and Thornbury Township lost population. These changes are not reflected in any data sets, in our data packet, or on the website except for “Population by Municipality: 1980 – 2000” and “Density by Municipality.”
